Removal - 2.4L

The camshaft position sensor is mounted to the rear of the cylinder head.

1. Remove the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect electrical connectors from the camshaft position sensor. See Fig 1.

3. Remove camshaft position sensor mounting screws. Remove sensor.
4. Loosen screw attaching target magnet to rear of camshaft and remove magnet. See Fig 2.
