Standard Procedure - Fuel Tank Closeout Panel: Notes
NOTE:
The Viper does not have a Fuel Tank Close-out Panel. To remove the fuel tank a hole will have to be cut in the trunk pan. Use a suitable cutting tool, to cut the trunk pan.
- Take closeout panel and lay against the front of the trunk pan.
- Mark the outer edge of the panel.
- Measure in 1/2 inch from the outline of the closeout panel.CAUTION: Do not protrude more than 1/2 inch thru the panel. The fuel tank is behind this panel.
- Cut on the 1/2 inch line marked IN from outline of panel.
- Cut clearance notch for fuel pump module as needed.
- Place panel in position and drill pop rivet holes.
