Powertrain Verification Test VER-3
NOTE:
After completing this test, perform TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST
.
- If this vehicle is equipped with an Electronic Throttle Control system, and the APP Sensors, PCM, or Throttle Body Assembly has been replaced, use a scan tool to perform the ETC RELEARN function.
- If the PCM has been replaced and the correct VIN and mileage have not been programmed, a DTC will set in the ABS Module, Air bag module and the SKIM.
- If the vehicle is equipped with a Sentry Key Immobilizer System, Secret Key data must be updated. See PROGRAMMING .
- Inspect the vehicle to make sure that all components related to the repair are properly installed and connected.
- With the scan tool, clear DTC's.
- Perform generator output test.
- Start the engine and set engine speed to 2000 RPM for at least 30 seconds.
- Cycle the ignition key off and on.
- With the scan tool, read the DTC's.
- If any DTC's or symptoms are remaining, check for any TSB's and/or see the SCAN TOOL DTC MESSAGES table. If no DTC's or symptoms are remaining, repair is complete.
