Control Circuit Test

The starter control circuit components should be tested in the order in which they are listed, as follows:

• Starter Motor Relay -  See STARTER MOTOR RELAY  under COMPONENT TESTING.
• Starter Solenoid -  See STARTER MOTOR  under COMPONENT TESTING.
• Ignition Switch -  See appropriate STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
• Park/Neutral Position Switch -  See appropriate SYSTEM & COMPONENT TESTING article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
• Wire Harnesses & Connections -  See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
