Battery System: Battery: Removal
- Make sure ignition switch is in OFF position and all accessories are turned OFF.
- The battery is located behind the left rear wheel well splash shield. Remove left rear tire and wheel (Refer to
WHEELS - REMOVAL
).
- Remove the seven screws attaching the rear wheel splash shield.
- Disconnect the battery cables from the battery terminals. Remove the battery negative cable first
- Remove the battery hold down clamp (Fig 1
) and remove the battery from the vehicle.
