Front Wheel Speed Sensor: Removal
NOTE:
Before proceeding, (Refer to

).
- Raise the vehicle.
- Remove wheel and tire assembly. (Refer to TIRES/WHEELS - REMOVAL ).
- Disconnect the vehicle wiring harness from the wheel speed sensor wiring connector at the frame rail.
- Remove sensor wiring connector clip from frame rail.
- Remove the sensor harness from the routing clips along brake flex hose and flex hose metal bracket (Fig 1 ).
- Remove the bolt fastening the sensor head to the steering knuckle.
- Carefully remove the sensor head from the steering knuckle.
CAUTION:
When removing a wheel speed sensor from the knuckle, do not use pliers on the sensor head. This may damage the sensor head. If the sensor has seized, use a hammer and a punch to tap the edge of the sensor head ear, rocking the sensor side-to-side until free.
