Diagnosis And Testing - Power Windows

This wiring test determines whether or not voltage continuous through the body harness to the power window switch.

Remove switch for testing. (Refer to POWER WINDOW SWITCH  ). Connect a voltmeter positive lead to Pin 4 and negative lead to Pin 3 of switch connector (Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING - POWER WINDOW SWITCH  ) for pin call-outs. Turn ignition switch to the ON Position. Voltmeter should read battery voltage. If OK, go to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING - POWER WINDOW SWITCH  . If not OK, check the lamp circuit breaker behind the fuse block or for a broken wire. For wiring, specific connector type and location, refer to the appropriate wiring information. The wiring information includes wiring diagrams, proper wire and connector repair procedures, further details of wire harness routing and retention, as well as pin-out and location views for the various wire harness connectors, splices and grounds.
