Using Lab Scope

NOTE: Manufacturer recommends connecting Test Connector (MB991348) during testing procedure.

Connect lab scope pick-up lead to Throttle Position (TP) sensor connector terminal No. 3 (Yellow wire) by backprobing. Turn ignition on. Slowly move throttle from closed to wide open position. Lab scope waveform should rise smooth and steady with no fluctuations. If any fluctuations are noticed, replace TP sensor. See REMOVAL, OVERHAUL & INSTALLATION - SEBRING COUPE & STRATUS COUPE article. Adjust TP sensor. See appropriate ON-VEHICLE ADJUSTMENTS article.
