Ignition Switch: Removal
- Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable. Remove upper and lower steering column shrouds. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Disconnect lower clockspring connector.
- Remove wire retainer from tilt lever bracket (if equipped). For models without tilt, remove bracket to gain access to ignition switch mounting screws. On all models, disconnect harness connector at rear of ignition switch. Remove ignition switch mounting screws. Gently pull switch away from column. Using a small screwdriver, push on ignition switch locking tab and remove switch from steering column.
