System Controls

NOTE: The Cruise Control system may also referred to as the Speed Control (S/C) system.

The S/C system is electronically-controlled and vacuum operated. Electronic control of the S/C system is integrated into the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The controls consist of 2 steering wheel-mounted switches. The switches are labeled ON/OFF, SET, RESUME/ACCEL, COAST and CANCEL. The system is designed to operate between 35 and 85 MPH.
