Integrated Control Unit (ICU)

The hydraulic control unit (HCU) and controller anti-lock brake (CAB) used with this anti-lock brake system are combined (integrated) into one unit, which is called integrated control unit (ICU). SeeFig 1 . The ICU is located below left head lamp behind front fascia. See Fig 2 .

The ICU consists of following components: CAB, six (build/decay) solenoid valves (three inlet valves and three outlet valves), valve block, fluid accumulators, a pump, and an electric pump/motor. The replaceable components of ICU are HCU and CAB. No attempt should be made to service any components of HCU or CAB.
