Fan Controller

  1. Disconnect condenser fan motor connector from fan controller. See Figure . Start engine and allow to idle until engine reaches operating temperature. Turn A/C switch to on position. Maintain coolant temperature at 176°F (80°C) or less.
  2. Using DVOM, measure voltage across fan controller condenser fan output terminals. Voltage should vary between zero volts, 5.6-10.8 volts and 10.6-15.8 volts. If voltage is not as specified, replace radiator fan motor and fan controller.
