Condenser Fan Control Relay

  1. Locate fan control relay. See Figure . Remove relay. Using DVOM, measure resistance between relay terminals No. 1 and 3. If resistance is greater than 2 ohms, replace relay.
  2. Using DVOM, check continuity between relay terminals No. 2 and 5. If continuity is indicated, replace relay.
  3. Using jumper wires, connect battery voltage to terminal No. 1 and battery ground to terminal No. 3. See Fig 1 . Using DVOM, measure resistance between relay terminals No. 2 and 5. If resistance is greater than 2 ohms, replace relay.
