Throttle Position Sensor
Throttle Position (TP) sensor monitors opening angle of throttle blade. TP sensor will vary output voltage from about .26 volt at minimum throttle opening (idle), to about 4.5 volts at wide open throttle. Powertrain Control Module (PCM) uses this information and other sensor inputs to determine engine operation. In response, PCM will adjust fuel injection pulse width and ignition timing.
