Strut Assembly: Reassembly

  1. Install compressed spring onto strut damper. Ensure spring is seated in recess in lower spring mount. Install dust shield, bumper, spacer and spring seat on top of strut rod. Install mount assembly to strut rod, ensuring lower washer is in position.
  2. Position upper tab parallel to strut damper lower attaching bracket. See Figure . Install rebound retainer and strut rod nut. Using Strut Nut Socket (6864), tighten strut rod nut to specification before releasing spring compressor. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Remove spring compressor.
