Wipers Not Working In Intermittent Mode

NOTE: For connector terminal identification and wiring diagrams, see BODY CONTROL COMPUTER - INTRODUCTION article. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Turn ignition on. Move wiper switch through all 6 intermittent positions. If wipers were inoperative in all positions, go to next step. If wipers were only inoperative in some switch positions, replace multifunction switch.
  2. Using scan tool, select SENSORS and monitor intermittent wiper voltage at each position of wiper switch. If voltage changes each time a different position is chosen, replace Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is located with junction block under driver's side instrument panel. See Figure . If voltage does not change, replace multifunction switch.
