Rocker Arms: Removal

  1. Disconnect spark plug wires by pulling on boot straight out in line with plug. Disconnect closed ventilation system from cylinder head cover. Remove cylinder head cover and gasket.
  2. Remove 2 rocker pedestal bolts per each cylinder. See Fig 1. Remove rocker arm assemblies as a pair. See Fig 2. If rocker arm assemblies are disassembled for cleaning or replacement, reassemble rocker arms in their original position.
