Section 48 (Engine Controls - Tests W/Codes - 3.3L): Introduction: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1997 Dodge Intrepid. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and energy systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION section before disconnecting battery.

Perform all steps in BASIC TESTING - 3.3L article. If no fault is found while performing BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES, proceed with self-diagnostics. If no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) or only pass codes (system functioning properly) are found during self-diagnostics, see TEST NTC-1A - NO TROUBLE CODES (NTC) TESTS  or proceed to TESTS W/O CODES - 3.3L article for diagnosis by symptom.
