Instrument Cluster Test 7A - Identifying Warning Light Malfunction

NOTE: Perform INSTRUMENT CLUSTER TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform, after each repair, VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A - BODY VERIFICATION TEST  .
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.

Turn ignition to OFF position, then to RUN position. Observe all warning lights on instrument cluster. During self-test, brake warning light, oil warning light, high beam, trunk ajar and turn signal indicators can not be actuated. See WARNING LIGHT TEST DIRECTORY table. If charging, cruise control or MIL (Check Engine) warning lights are malfunctioning, go to appropriate article:
