Camshaft Position Sensor: Removal

  1. Camshaft position sensor is located on rear of cylinder head, just below valve cover. See Figure and Figure .
  2. Disconnect air intake tubes for access to camshaft position sensor. Disconnect electrical connector at camshaft position sensor.
  3. Remove retaining bolts and camshaft position sensor with "O" ring. Remove screw and target magnet from rear of camshaft. See Figure and Figure .
