Diagnostic Procedure

NOTE: Battery must be fully charged.
  1. Attempt to start engine. Crank for up to 10 seconds, if necessary.
  2. Connect the DRB scan tool (or equivalent aftermarket scan tool) to the engine diagnostic connector. Diagnostic connector is located under left side of dash, on left kick panel.
  3. If DRB screen displays "No Response," go to NS-6A: REPAIRING A "NO RESPONSE" CONDITION  .
  4. If the DRB screen is blank or has a DRB message, go to DRB SCAN TOOL PROBLEMS  .
  5. If trouble code messages are displayed, go to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS  .
  6. If there are no trouble codes displayed, go to one of the following.
