System Introduction

If no faults were found while performing BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES in the BASIC TESTING - 3.3L (GASOLINE) article, proceed with self-diagnostics. If no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are present after entering self-diagnostics, perform TEST NTC-1A  for engine diagnosis. If after performing TEST NTC-1A test, problem is not identified and repaired, proceed to TESTS W/O CODES - 3.3L article for diagnosis by symptom (i.e., ROUGH IDLE, NO START, etc.).
