Windshield Wiper Test 8C - Rear Wiper Not Operating

NOTE: Perform WINDSHIELD WIPER TEST 8A before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification and wiring diagrams, see appropriate sections in this article. Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) "A" connector. BCM is located with junction block. See Figure in CHIME TEST 2A. Ensure rear wiper switch is in ON position.
  2. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, measure voltage on "A" connector, terminal No. 38 (Yellow/White wire). If voltage is more than 4 volts, replace BCM. If voltage is 4 volts or less, go to next step.
  3. Connect jumper wire between chassis ground and "A" connector, terminal No. 38 (Yellow/White wire). Disconnect Heater, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) control module 21-pin Blue connector. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, measure resistance on HVAC connector, terminal No. 2 (Yellow/White wire). If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open Yellow/White wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace HVAC module.
