SYMPTOM/CONDITION

Delayed 2/3 or 3/4 transmission gear shifts, up to 2 minutes, when the transmission fluid temperature is below 95 degrees Fahrenheit.

DISCUSSION

The transmission shift pattern on the models listed above provides for a delayed upshift (see chart below). If the transmission fluid temperature is below 95 degrees Fahrenheit (35 degrees Celsius), or if the vehicle operating time, since the ignition switch is turned on, is less than the time shown on the chart below, the shift pattern will be delayed.
