Brush Holder Test

When testing brushes and brush springs, ensure brushes move smoothly in brush holder. Replace brush holder assembly if brushes stick. Using an ohmmeter, touch one test lead to inner brush and other test lead to field terminal. One should show open and other should be closed. Repeat procedure on outer brush. If brush holder does not test as specified, replace brush holder.
