Ch-2 Test - Checking Battery Temperature Sensor Calibration

  1. Connect diagnostic read-out box to diagnostic connector in engine compartment. Place system in Engine Running Test Mode "61". See ENTERING ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTICS  under TESTING & DIAGNOSIS in this article. Divide display reading by 10 for actual reading. If diagnostic read-out box display is .2-3.0 volts, go to next step. If diagnostic read-out box display is not .2-3.0 volts, replace SMEC (defective logic board). 2) With diagnostic read-out box connected to diagnostic connector, place system in Engine Running Test Mode "67". Display reading is actual reading. If diagnostic read-out box display is 13-15 volts, check battery and also check for battery drain-down condition. If display reading is not 13-15 volts, check alternator.
