Turbocharger - Gasoline: Operation: Compressor

Atmospheric air is drawn into the compressor through an inlet tube. The air is then discharged into the intake manifold where it mixes with the fuel and then injected into the engine. As rotational speed of compressor increases, pressure and density of air/fuel mixture increases, causing a greater volume of air/fuel mixture to the cylinders. The increased density and volume of the mixture results in increased engine power output.
