Warm DRIVEABILITY Test 1 - Carburetor Switch Check
- With engine at normal operating temperature, disconnect computer 10-way connector. Connect an ohmmeter between the 10-way connector cavity "7" and ground. Open and close the throttle while watching the ohmmeter. Ohmmeter reading should show continuity, with no resistance, when the throttle is closed and no continuity when the throttle is open.
- If there is continuity when the throttle is open, repair wire to connector cavity "7" for a short to ground. If there is continuity with resistance when the throttle is closed, check and clean the carburetor switch for corrosion.
- If there is no continuity when the throttle is closed, repair wire to connector cavity "7" for an open circuit to the carburetor switch. If continuity checks okay, proceed to WARM DRIVEABILITY TEST 2 .
