A/C Cut-Out Relay

The A/C cut-out relay is connected in series with the A/C damped pressure switch, A/C switch and A/C fan relay. The relay remains in the energized ("ON") position during engine operation. When SMEC senses low idle speeds or wide open throttle position (through TPS), it de-energizes the relay and causes the compressor clutch to disengage.
