Catalytic Converters

Two types of catalytic converters are used with this system, an oxidation catalyst for controlling HC and CO and a 3-way catalyst for controlling all 3 emissions (HC, CO and NOx). The 3-way converter is specially coated with Rhodium, which gives it the ability to convert NOx to nitrogen and oxygen.
