Intake Air Temperature Sensor
- Air intake temperature sensor is located in surge tank (intake plenum or manifold). Disconnect intake air temperature sensor connector. Ensure continuity does not exist between each intake air temperature sensor terminal and sensor body. Replace sensor if continuity exists.
- Disconnect air intake hose from throttle body. Open throttle valve on throttle body and measure air temperature inside surge tank (intake plenum or manifold). Using DVOM, measure resistance across intake air temperature sensor terminals. See AIR & COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR SPECIFICATIONS . Replace sensor if resistance is not within specification.
