No-Load Test
Connect vehicle battery and ammeter to starter. See Fig 1 . Ensure starter rotates smoothly as pinion moves outward. On 1.0L, current draw should be less than 50 amps at 11.0 volts. On 1.3L and 1.6L, current draw should be less than 90 amps at 11.5 volts.
