Power Steering Belt Adjustment

POWER STEERING BELT ADJUSTMENT

Application (1) Deflection - In. (mm)
Charade
New Belt (2) .315-.394 (8.00-10.01)
Used Belt .394-.551 (10.01-14.01)
Rocky (3) .354-.433 (9.00-11.00)
(1) Deflection is with 22 lbs. (10 kg) pressure applied midway between pulleys.
(2) New belt is referred to as a belt that has been in operation less than 5 minutes.
(3) After installing new belt, operate engine for at least 5 minutes and then recheck.
