Repair and Diagnosis: Transmission: Clutches: Bleeding
Bleed hydraulic system to remove air which entered when pipes were disconnected for repairs. The clutch/brake fluid in clutch/brake reservoir must be maintained at MIN level or higher during air bleeding.
- Attach a vinyl hose to bleeder plug. Place other end of vinyl tube in a glass container half-filled with brake fluid. Slowly pump clutch pedal several times. While you press clutch pedal, loosen bleeder screw until fluid starts to run out. Close bleeder screw.
- Repeat step 1 until there are no air bubbles in fluid. Fill reservoir with brake fluid up to MAX level.
