Valve Body: Reassembly

  1. Install by-pass valve, check valve, springs and check balls in center valve body. See Figure . Install check valve, pressure relief valve, springs and check balls in lower valve body. Install separator plate and gaskets on center valve body. Place center valve body onto lower valve body.
  2. Loosely install 3 bolts in lower valve body. Turn over assembly and install single bolt. Coat all strainers with ATF and install in center valve body. See Figure . Install check ball in upper valve body. See Fig 1 .
  3. Install separator plate and gaskets on center valve body. Place upper valve body onto center valve body. Loosely install 5 bolts in upper valve body. Turn assembly over and install 4 bolts. Install shift and lock-up solenoids. See Figure . Install pressure control solenoid. Tighten all valve body assembly bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Install manual valve.
