Valve Body: Disassembly

Place valve body on work bench with solenoids facing up. Remove wiring harness clamps. Remove shift, lock-up and pressure control solenoids. See Fig 1 . Turn valve body over. Remove 4 bolts from lower valve body. Turn assembly over. Remove 5 bolts from upper valve body.
Lift off upper valve body and remove check ball. Remove separator plate and gaskets. Remove oil strainers from center valve body. See Fig 2 . Turn assembly over. Remove 3 bolts from lower valve body. Turn assembly over. Remove remaining bolt. Separate center valve body from lower valve body.
Remove by-pass and check valves from center valve body. Remove check balls. See Fig 3 . Remove check and pressure relief valve from lower valve body. Remove check balls.
