Front Strut Assembly: Assembly

  1. Install lower spring insulator and spring. Compress spring using spring compressor (KM-329-A). Install piston rod boot, hollow bumper, upper spring insulator, upper spring seat, upper strut mount, and mount bearing. See Figure . Be sure front spring seat is positioned correctly.
  2. Install piston rod nut with front strut mount nut wrench (DV-005). Tighten piston rod nut to 70 N.m (52 ft. lbs.). Install dust cover onto bearing assembly. Release spring compressor (KM-329-A). Remove strut assembly from spring compressor (KM-329-A). Install strut assembly onto vehicle.
