Repair and Diagnosis: Transmission: Clutches: Bleeding
- Bleed hydraulic system to remove air which entered system when pipes were disconnected for repairs. Clutch/brake fluid in clutch/brake reservoir must be maintained at MIN level or higher during air bleeding. Attach a vinyl hose to bleeder plug. Place other end of vinyl hose in a glass container half-filled with brake fluid. Slowly pump clutch pedal several times.
- While you press clutch pedal, loosen bleeder screw until fluid starts to run out. Close bleeder screw. Fill reservoir with brake fluid up to MAX level.
