Torque Procedure:
- Install NEW hub nut.
- Tighten hub nut to 160 N.m (118 Ft. lbs.)
NOTE:
Do not use air tools on staking tool while staking hub nut.
NOTE:
The hub nut must be staked so that it looks similar to the illustration. Both edges must be split and bent into the shape shown in the illustration. The staking must be opposite of the direction to tighten the nut.
- Using the
(special tool #10287-1, Tool, Staking), align the leading cutting edge of Tool, Front Hub Staking 10287 with the top left side channel on axle as shown in the illustration. Tighten fastener on Tool, Front Hub Staking 10287 with hand tools until the threads bottom out completely, staking the nut.

Do not reuse these fasteners. If removed, a NEW
fastener must be installed and tightened to specifications. |
