Removal And Installation

REMOVAL
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the lower screws (1).
- Remove the fasteners (2) and remove the heat shield (1).
- Disconnect the body wiring harness connectors (2) from the Hands Free Entry Power Liftgate (HFEPLG) module.
- Remove the fasteners (1) securing the HFEPLG module with sensor assembly to the fascia.
- Remove the HFEPLG module (3) with sensor from the fascia.
INSTALLATION
- Position the Hands Free Entry Power Liftgate (HFEPLG) module (3) to the fascia for installation.
- Install the fasteners (1) to secure the HFEPLG module with sensor to the fascia and seat fully.
- Connect the wiring harness connectors (2) to the HFEPLG module.
- Install the heat shield (1).
- Install the fasteners (2) and tighten securely.
- Install the lower screws (1).
- Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
