Emergency Assistance Module Speaker: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the defrost grille. Refer to GRILLE, DEFROSTER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the two Emergency Assistance Module (EAM) speaker to instrument panel mounting screws (2).

  4. Pull the EAM speaker (1) away from the instrument panel far enough to disconnect the instrument panel wiring harness connector from the speaker.
  5. Disconnect the instrument panel wiring harness connector from the EAM speaker.
  6. Remove the EAM speaker (1) from the vehicle.
