Heat Shield

REMOVAL 

1. Remove the fasteners and position the belly pans aside. Refer to BELLY PAN, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION and/or BELLY PAN, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION and/or BELLY PAN, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION and/or BELLY PAN, REAR SUSPENSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION and/or BELLY PAN, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
2. Remove the dash heat shield fasteners and remove the dash heat shield.

3. Remove the muffler assembly. Refer to MUFFLER, EXHAUST, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
4. Remove the front muffler heat shield fasteners.

5. With the underbody belly pans positioned aside, remove the front muffler heat shield.

6. Remove the tub heat shield fasteners.

7. Remove the tub heat shield.

8. Remove the mid-muffler heat shield fasteners and remove the mid-muffler heat shield.

9. Remove the fasteners and reposition the rear underbody belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION and/or BELLY PAN, REAR SUSPENSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

10. Remove the rear muffler heat shield fasteners.
11. Remove the rear muffler heat shield.

INSTALLATION 

1. Position the rear muffler heat shield to the underbody.

2. Install the rear muffler heat shield fasteners and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

3. Reposition the rear underbody belly pan and install the fasteners. Refer to BELLY PAN, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION and/or BELLY PAN, REAR SUSPENSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
4. Install the mid-muffler heat shield and tighten the fasteners to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

5. Position the tub heat shield to the underbody.

6. Install the tub heat shield fasteners and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

7. Position the front muffler heat shield to the underbody.

8. Install the front muffler heat shield fasteners and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

9. Install the dash heat shield to the underbody and tighten the fasteners to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

10. Install the underbody belly pans and securely tighten the fasteners. Refer to BELLY PAN, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION and/or BELLY PAN, REAR SUSPENSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
11. Install the muffler assembly. Refer to MUFFLER, EXHAUST, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
12. Start the engine and inspect for exhaust leaks. Repair exhaust leaks as necessary.
13. Check the exhaust system for contact with the body panels. Make the necessary adjustments, if needed.
