Keyless Ignition Node (Kin) Module
REMOVAL
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Disconnect the wire harness connector from the back of the Keyless Ignition Node (KIN) module.
1 - KIN Module 2 - Wire Harness Connector - Remove the center instrument trim panel. Refer to PANEL, INSTRUMENT PANEL TRIM, CENTER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- To remove the KIN from the trim panel, depress the release tabs and push the KIN outward from the inside of the panel until free.

INSTALLATION
Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
- Align and seat the KIN to the trim panel until the tabs are engaged securing the KIN in the proper installed position.
