Removal And Installation: Right: Installation
Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
- Install the variable valve timing solenoid seals. The seals can be reused if not damaged.
- Refer to the markings made at disassembly and install the intake variable valve timing solenoid in the original location.
- Install the intake variable valve timing solenoid and securely tighten the mounting bolts.
- Position the pressurized coolant bottle. Tighten the bolts to the proper torque specification. Refer to: TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- The Cam/Crank Variation Relearn procedure must be performed using the scan tool anytime there has been a repair/replacement made to a powertrain system, for example: flywheel, valvetrain, camshaft and/or crankshaft sensors or components.
