Cooling System: Engine: Thermostat: Installation: 3.6L
CAUTION:
The Thermostat and housing is serviced as an assembly. Do not remove the thermostat from the housing. Damage to the thermostat may occur.
- Clean the mating surfaces of the timing chain cover and the thermostat housing (1).
- Install a NEW gasket on the thermostat housing.
- Install the thermostat housing (1) and tighten the bolts to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the upper radiator hose to the thermostat housing (1).
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to COOLANT SYSTEM FILLING .
- Install the air cleaner resonator. Refer to RESONATOR, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION .
- Install the engine cover.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- Check the cooling system for leaks.
