NOTE:
The following procedure applies only to vehicles manufactured for the NAFTA markets.
NOTE:
Work from behind the seat to access the STPS on a bracket located on the inboard side near the rear of the seat track.
- Align the open end of the STPS mounting slot to the blade of the STPS bracket (1) located on the inboard side near the rear of the seat track.
- Push the STPS (4) firmly to the bracket (1) until the latch feature (3) snaps into place with an audible click.
- Connect the seat wire harness connector (2) to the STPS connector receptacle. Be certain that the latch on the connector is fully engaged.
- Do not connect the negative battery cable at this time. The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Verification Test procedure should be performed following service of any SRS component. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
