APS INTERMITTENT DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

  1. The DTC is not active at this time. The following may help to identify an intermittent condition:
    • Check for any Service Bulletins that may apply.
    • Inspect the related wiring harness and connectors. Look for any chafed, pierced, pinched, partially broken wires, or broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded terminals.
    • Perform a voltage drop test on the circuits between the component and the applicable module.
    • If multiple DTCs are set, use a wiring schematic and inspect any common power or ground circuits.
    • Inspect and clean all related ground circuits.
    • Use the scan tool to perform any System Test or Actuations to the component(s) that may cause the DTC to set.
    • Perform a wiggle test on the related wiring and connectors while monitoring the scan tool. Look for the DTC to change to active or supporting data to change during the test.
