Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Position the lower control arm (3) against the subframe.
  2. Install two NEW  front lower control arm to subframe mounting bolts (1). Do not tighten at this time. 
  3. Install two NEW  front lower control arm to subframe rear mounting bolts (3). Do not tighten at this time.

  4. Position the shear bracket and install three NEW  mounting bolts (1, 2, 3). Do not tighten at this time.

  5. Position the ball joint stud in the steering knuckle and install a NEW  ball joint stud pinch bolt (2) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  6. Install the front splash wheelhouse. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  7. Install the front belly pan Refer to BELLY PAN, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONBELLY PAN, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  8. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  9. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  10. Position the vehicle on an alignment rack. Raise vehicle as necessary to access mounting bolts.
  11. Tighten the two front lower control arm to subframe mounting bolts to the proper specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  12. Tighten the three rear lower control arm to subframe mounting bolts to the proper specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  13. Tighten the shear bracket to subframe mounting bolts to the proper specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
