Negative - Engine Compartment
- Position the battery negative cable in the engine compartment.
- Raise the vehicle on hoist.
- Install the fastener securing the battery negative cable to the transmission housing. Tighten the bolt to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- One at a time, install the battery cable retaining pushpins, fasteners and routing clips until the cable is installed exactly where it was in the vehicle.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install the fastener securing the battery negative cable to the right front strut tower.
- Connect the negative battery cable to the Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS) M8 stud (1) and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the spare tire cover.
