Motor, Window Regulator: Removal

  1. Partially raise or lower the door glass to relieve tension on motor and cables where possible. Secure the glass as necessary.
  2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the door interior trim panel (2). Refer to PANEL, DOOR TRIM, REMOVAL or PANEL, REAR DOOR TRIM, REMOVAL for the appropriate procedure.

  4. Disconnect the power window motor electrical connector (3) from the motor electrical connector receptacle.
  5. Remove the three fasteners (2) that secure the power window motor and gear assembly (1) to the carrier plate.

  6. Using a suitable flat bladed tool, lightly pry the cable drive (1) away from the motor (2) and remove the motor and gear assembly.
